McLaren Vale is situated approximately 35 km from the city of Adelaide, located between the Adelaide Hills and the Gulf St Vincent coastline. McLaren Vale is one of the oldest wine regions in South Australia, the first vines were planted in 1838 by John Reynell and Thomas Hardy.
McLaren Vale is one of the most accessible vineyard regions in Adelaide (30 minutes) and it’s easy to enjoy the surroundings with tastings, food and beautiful scenery. It’s mild Mediterranean climate is ideal for grape growing, and produces some of the best red grapes in the region. With a variety of wineries in the McLaren Vale region we can provide you with a tour to suit your tastes, such as red wines, white wines, fortified wines or sparkling. With over 160 vineyards and 70 wineries to explore, you will enjoy sampling the many wines on offer. The region boasts many award winning wines each serving up some of the country’s most sought-after drops, and is especially renown for its many award winning Shiraz’s. McLaren Vale Distilleries add a spirited dimension to the regions legacy and produces a wide range of premium gins, vodkas and other exceptional spirits- pushing the boundaries of flavour with a commitment to innovation.
There are a growing number of distilleries and bars waiting to be discovered. Our itinerary is:
- 10.15am Pick up from Adelaide CBD/ metro area or as arranged with our office
- 11.00am Never Never Distillery – enjoy their award-winning gins while taking in the stunning vistas of the region. Choose from one of their popular gin & tonic tasting flights, or enjoy a seasonal cocktail made by their talented team of bartenders
- 12.30 Lunch at Pizzateca where the family still use techniques from past generations, and local South Australian ingredients to bring you the best wood oven pizza in the state.
- 2.45pm Settlers Spirits – Gin & Whisky tasting (now located in the D’Arenberg Cube) their extensive range includes rare dry and pink gins as well as a host of flavoured gins to satisfy your thirst for tradition as well as excite your palate with new flavour combinations.
- 4.00pm Depart McLaren Vale & head back to pick up location

- 10.00am Mollydooker Wines Sip bold, playful wines with a twist at Mollydooker—one of McLaren Vale’s most vibrant and spirited winery experience
- 11.30am Dandelion Vineyards for a wine tasting with their passionate & knowledgeable team plus bite sized wonders are complimentary
- 1pm Tastings in the Cube first, followed by a relaxing an exquisite lunch in d’Arrys Verandah at D’Arenberg Winery here you will experience the finest local and seasonal produce, enhancing the culinary experience with the extensive and world-renowned d’Arenberg wine portfolio
- 4.00pm Depart for a leisurely cruise back to Adelaide

This one is especially for the red wine lovers out there! Join our tour from Adelaide for a delightful exploration of McLaren Vale in a luxurious van, perfect for small groups of up to 6 people. We will take you to some of our best picks for red wine and gourmet food. Our itinerary is:
- 9.15am Pick up from Adelaide CBD/ metro area or as arranged with our office
- 10.00am Olivers Taranga – where you will taste a diverse range of their reds, including varieties you may never have tasted before
- 11.30am Coriole Winery – known for their shiraz and cabernet sauvignon as well as the stunning views & grounds. Book a table for lunch here as well to enjoy their gourmet menu, whilst soaking up the atmosphere.
- 2.30pm Our last winery stop is Bekkers here you will be led through their collection of fine wines & again a space to enjoy the panoramic views
